Robert Roy
knows firsthand the importance of a changed mindset. Rob had to alter his own thought process before he was able to become successful through trading in the stock market. Now Rob emphasizes to his students how following a proven, time tested system is critical to their success.
Rob was raised in Queens, NY by a single mother. Because money was scarce Rob grew up hearing things like “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer,” and “It takes money to make money.” These were early mental roadblocks that he had to overcome.
Robs life changed in 1997 when one of his colleagues in the manufacturing company he worked for told him about a stock market class he had taken. Rob was looking for opportunities to make extra money so he was very interested. He took the workshop and became excited about using the stock market to change his life even though his friends and family were instruments of discouragement.
“I’ve had people me my entire life telling me that I couldn’t do something” Rob said. As usual he proved them wrong again.
Brandon Wendell
has always known the value of education and has strived to constantly learn more about many topics. He and his two sisters were raised in a small town in Pennsylvania by a single mother on a public-school teacher’s salary.
Brandon later joined the US Navy to proudly serve in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990’s. After leaving the military, he started working as a retail stockbroker following his father’s footsteps. Not satisfied working in the front office and wanting to learn more about how the markets worked, Brandon moved into the back-office operations where he was tasked to fill the customer orders electronically as a trader/Agency Desk Operator.
Brandon’s big break into the world of trading came in 1999 when he was asked to be a lead trader for a private hedge fund in La Jolla, California. He attended a well-known trading education company and successfully traded for the fund. After leaving the fund and continuing to trade and invest for himself, Brandon returned to the education company to begin teaching his methodology and to help others achieve their financial goals.
In 2008, Brandon attained the prestigious Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, of which there are only 2500. The CMT program is a master’s degree in technical analysis which requires demonstration of high-level understanding of all technical indicators, multiple charting styles, and all existing theories of market analysis including Elliot Wave, Dow Theory, and others.
